Check out the 2008 screenshots that Eurogames has, they are amazing.  8,000 polygon human models, looks beautiful.

For those who don't know this is the highly anticipated EvE Online expansion where they will give us human avatars.  Unfortunately it sounds like they are not close to completing this, so 2010 release is somewhat doubtful.

Wow I sorta hope it does take a little bit to get that because I need to upgrade everything that looks amazing.
